Poikiloderma (Red Neck)

Poikiloderma, often referred to as “red neck,” is a skin condition that consists of areas of increased and decreased pigmentation, prominent blood vessels, and thinning of the skin, creating redness. It is most frequently seen on the chest or the neck, characterized by red colored pigment on the skin that is commonly associated with sun damage. A number of treatments are available to improve the quality and appearance of the neck and chest, including laser treatments and topical skin care products.
