Welcoming Two New Cosmetic Providers
This year, we proudly welcomed two exceptional Cosmetic Providers to our team:
Adriana Novoa, BSN, RN
A University of Arizona graduate, Adriana brings ten years of nursing experience and advanced training in Botox®, dermal fillers, and non-invasive rejuvenation. With a strong foundation in skin health and facial anatomy, along with leadership experience and a background as a business owner, she delivers patient-centered care rooted in safety and education. Her genuine warmth, gentle approach, and bilingual communication style helps patients feel empowered and supported every step of the way.
Maricela Cervantez, MA, LE
Maricela comes to us with over a decade of experience in clinical and patient care, including prior work in dermatology at Pima Dermatology. Since earning her Esthetics Certificate in 2023, she has elevated our cosmetic services with her expertise in chemical peels, HydraFacial® treatments, CoolSculpting®, and dermaplaning. Her approach blends passion, precision, and a commitment to enhancing natural beauty through personalized, results-driven care. When you meet with Maricela, you are instantly at ease with her 1,ooo watt smile and expertise.
Continued Investment in Our Team & Community
- We are committed to strengthening our team and contributing to our local community. By recruiting locally, we support the regional workforce while continuing to grow sustainably.
- Additionally, we promote from within, giving our team the opportunity to grow with us and empower their futures. We invested in several team members, advancing them to new positions and leadership roles this year.
- And speaking of investing, based on national averages, we have one of the highest 401K retirement employee participation rates when compared to other businesses our size.
- Throughout the year, we provided ongoing educational opportunities including CPR training, Laser Safety updates, new injectable technique workshops, Emerging Leadership programs, skin care and device boot camps, and additional resources for clinical excellence. With two advanced injectable trainings and continuous CME support for our Medical and Cosmetic Providers, we invested $40,000 in staff education and development this year.
Facility Enhancements
This year, we wrapped up the renovation of two office spaces, adding new exam rooms and refreshing several areas throughout the practice. These updates allow us to welcome more patients comfortably while creating an even smoother, more elevated experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery Volume Increase
This year, we hit new heights in Mohs surgery volume, a seven percent increase compared to last year. This growth reflects not only the rising need for high-quality skin cancer care in our community, but also our practice’s commitment to meeting that need with compassion, precision, and efficiency.
Dr. Sarah Schram and her mighty team continue to demonstrate focus, dedication, and streamlined care processes that allowed us to complete 1,331 Mohs surgeries this year, up from 1,250 last year. Each procedure represents a patient who received timely, expert treatment, and we’re grateful for the trust our community places in us.
Upgraded Payroll & Timekeeping Systems
We also adopted a new ADP Payroll and Time & Attendance platform. Time and efficiency matter, both for our team and for the quality of care we deliver. We’re always looking for smarter systems that streamline our daily operations.
Our Fall Cosmetic Open House & SKINVESTMENT Event Week Broke All Records
Our SKINVESTMENT Fall Cosmetic Event Open House and Event Week was truly extraordinary, the most successful in our history. We set new records for patient attendance and Laser + Cosmetic sales, and we owe this success entirely to the trust of our loyal patients and the warm welcome from new friends of the practice.
Our team’s dedication to providing five-star care and delivering on our promises continues to set the standard. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this milestone event possible.
How Our Biannual Events Fuel Year-Round Growth & Patient Care
Our biannual cosmetic events directly support our ability to enhance care and invest in our practice. These events help us:
- Maintain strong staffing levels for optimal patient care
- Enhance the patient experience through new technology, updated equipment, and continuous facility improvements
- Fund educational reimbursements, clinical development, safety certifications, and leadership trainings
- Support staff medical and maternity leave programs, as well as backup child and adult care
