THE TIME IS NOW. OUR U.S. DOCTORS AND NURSES NEED OUR HELP.
As the national shortage of face masks becomes severe, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says doctors and nurses can use bandanas as makeshift masks when caring for COVID-19 patients — although it’s unclear whether they would protect medical workers. Used “as a last resort”, the CDC acknowledges that its recommendations are out of step with standards of care in the United States.
WE CAN DO BETTER! Let’s do our part to provide our healthcare professionals the equipment they need to fight COVID-19.
We can do this! We challenge you, our patients, our friends in the community, to search your medicine cabinets, garages, workshops, and workplaces to find these heroes the PPE they so desperately need.
Go to donatePPE.org to see what supplies you may have at home and learn how to get it to the people who need it NOW. You may also call Pima Dermatology at 520.795.7729, Ext. 203 and we can arrange a donation drop-off time at our practice.
We vow to wear the bandana so that our doctors and nurses don’t have to. Help share this message and support this effort by posting a bandana selfie. SHARE THIS MESSAGE! Get the word out NOW.

Pima Dermatology Closed Temporarily as We Help to “Flatten the Curve” to Fight COVID-19/Coronavirus
As the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation develops, the safety of our community is our top priority. This is an unprecedented and challenging time for all of us, but we are committed to your health and well-being as our patient. We’ve made the decision to do our part to “flatten the curve” (reducing the viral spread to avoid overwhelming the healthcare system) and cease all in-person patient visits effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We will reopen in the future, as soon as we safely can.
IF YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED IN THE NEXT THREE WEEKS: If you are a patient who has an appointment scheduled anytime now through mid-April 2020, please be assured we will call you with new appointment options and to address any urgent needs you may have (i.e. medication refills, suture removal, etc.).
ALL OTHER PATIENTS: If you do not have an urgent need, we kindly request patients to not call our office at this time. We must keep our lines open to attend to rescheduling those with immediate upcoming appointments.
STAFFING PHONES DURING OUR CLOSURE: Phone hours of operation are from 10AM – 2PM. Members of our front office and clinical teams will be available to you to help with your urgent needs.
