Pima Dermatology enthusiastically welcomes Colleen Schrant, FNP-C, a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare.
Mrs. Schrant earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Grand Canyon University in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to joining Pima Dermatology, she served as a Nurse Practitioner with Specialists in Dermatology in Tucson for over four years. She also brings more than a decade of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at Tucson Medical Center, where she specialized in the rapid assessment and treatment of high-acuity conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Mrs. Schrant was a Professor of HCR 230: Culture and Health Humanities, Cultural Diversity, and Global Health for Arizona Community College, reflecting her passion for mentoring and educating future healthcare professionals.
Mrs. Schrant’s diverse clinical background includes Emergency Medicine, Hospital Administration, Patient Experience Coaching, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Dermatology. She has held multiple leadership roles, including serving as the Direct Supervisor for all Advanced Practice Providers (PAs and NPs) in the Tucson market. Her experience demonstrates a strong ability to lead, collaborate, and contribute to efficient clinical workflows and hospital operations. She is highly skilled in care coordination, plan-of-care development, patient education, and delivering age-appropriate care, including to pediatric patients. Mrs. Schrant is also committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
She holds Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications and was honored with the 2019 Advanced Practice Provider of the Year Award from Envision Healthcare, West Division, at Tucson Medical Center. Mrs. Schrant is a certified member of the Academy of Nurse Practitioners and an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association.
Outside of the office, Mrs. Schrant enjoys expressing her creativity, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She is married to her high school sweetheart and cherishes her role as a mom.
Mrs. Schrant provides compassionate, personalized dermatologic care with an emphasis on clear communication and patient comfort. Known for her warm, approachable manner, she takes time to listen and build trust while supporting long-term skin health. She is currently welcoming new patients in March 2026.
