Angela Santa Cruz, FNP-BC is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a medical background of over 23 years. The FNP-BC certification is the Family Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified certification. Earned through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), those who have it are fully qualified to administer medical care.
She earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Phoenix, graduating at the top of her class as a Sigma Theta Tau Member. During graduate school, Ms. Santa Cruz completed a clinical rotation in Dermatology where she helped treat patients with a variety of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, and melanoma. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Arizona.
Prior to joining Pima Dermatology in 2020, Ms. Santa Cruz spent over a decade practicing as a Registered Nurse at Banner University of Arizona Medical Center and About Faces Cosmetic Surgery in Tucson. Before becoming a nurse, Ms. Santa Cruz spent several years working as a Histologist and Lab Supervisor at University Physicians Inc. and Catalina Skin Institute. Ms. Santa Cruz also has extensive experience as a researcher and clinical reviewer. She served as a member of the Skin Prevalence Committee, and has worked at Banner University of Arizona Medical Center, performing research relating to bariatric practices. She is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Santa Cruz is inspired by the many complexities of skin conditions and developing solutions to improve patient lives. She is highly trained and qualified in dermatology, offering diagnoses and treatment and performing regular checkups. She has a welcoming demeanor and friendliness, providing her patients with ease of care and a responsive approach for optimal skin health. Outside of the office, she enjoys University of Arizona and University of Michigan football and basketball, hiking with her Cocker Spaniel named Bentley, and cooking. She is accepting new patients.
