Rachel Chánes, MBA, CMPE, CEO/Practice Administrator, joined Pima Dermatology in 2011. As Chief Executive Officer and Practice Administrator, Ms. Chánes combines her MBA in Health Care Management and over 20 years of private and nonprofit experience to ensure Pima Dermatology remains one of the top dermatology practices in Arizona.
Rachel leads with purpose and a forward-thinking approach, keeping Pima Dermatology’s mission and vision front and center. Her strategic road map, human resources, and financial operations are data-driven and human-centered.
Rachel is at her best when she is in spaces where she can inspire and mentor. Her personal philosophy is, “Anyone, at any time, has the potential to actualize their leadership potential leading from where they are at, regardless of title and position”.
Outside of the practice, Rachel balances a full family life that includes an extraordinary spouse, a bright and socially aware Generation Z (Gen Z) daughter, a large extended family, and an adorable miniature poodle, named Hugo. In addition to being an avid reader, Rachel has an unwavering commitment to the Tucson community. She has served on several nonprofit governing boards, including her most recent past role as Board Chair for the Our Family Services Board, a Southern Arizona nonprofit that provides a continuum of care helping homeless children, youth and families transition into safe and stable housing.
