Year in Review + Reasons to Celebrate 2023

As we wrap up 2023, the word that stands out for us is GRATITUDE. We wouldn’t be here without our extraordinary patients who make our world go round, give us a reason to show up every day, and make it easy for us to deliver compassionate and high-quality care.

Promotions to Director Leadership Roles: Pima Dermatology continues to promote from within, investing and growing confidently. We are thrilled to leverage the growth of two of our Leadership Team members, Taylor Rock, MSN, RN, CANS, and Andrea Rubio, CPC, CPMA. Beginning in January of 2024, these consummate professionals will take our team to even greater heights with their many strengths and talents. Continued Investment in Our Team: We continue to invest in year-round trainings for our Laser + Cosmetic and Medical Teams to always be in the know about updated safety protocols, industry updates, and device / treatment upgrades. This year, Priscilla Rodriguez, RN, CLT received her Laser Certification. We also provide CPR Medical Training, Laser Safety updates, new techniques for injectables, and additional educational resources for our team to stay up-to-date. For team members in other departments, we are cultivating and growing their leadership skills and focuses with guided support and education through our Emerging Leadership Program, facilitated by our CEO/Practice Administrator, Rachel Chánes, MBA, CMPE, and RingMaster Consulting.

Continued Facility Enhancements: We take great pride in maintaining a beautiful and safe environment for our patients and staff. This year, we focused on Mohs Surgical Suite enhancements. Patients can now enjoy comfortable seating and fresh coffee in the Mohs Lounge area. Our Laser + Cosmetic Center also saw facility updates with new Exam Room tables and chairs, flooring improvements, and iPad upgrades too!

Spring + Fall Cosmetic Event Weeks: Thanks to our loyal patient base and new patients to our practice, we exceeded all expectations for our Spring and Fall Cosmetic Events, setting new records for us! And Fall proved to be our MOST successful Fall Cosmetic Event to date! According to Allergan (the makers of Botox, Juvederm, CoolSculpting and SkinMedica), Pima Dermatology racks up some of the highest numbers in the nation for successful events and revenue! We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by in-person or shopped online to make these incredible event milestones happen!

ModMed ® Pay + Inventory Management: Fast-tracking for success (under 60 days), we integrated a new sales system for our Skin Care Products, providing greater efficiency for our staff and patients. Staff learned at a rapid rate and we were ready in time for our biannual Cosmetic Event Week to meet our patients’ needs in record time!

Continuing to Offer Back-Up Child and Adult Care + Many Supportive Programs for Staff: We know our team can struggle at times caring for their children or family members in need when unforeseen circumstances occur. As part of our Staff Benefits Program, we provide a comprehensive program that provides emergency childcare with vetted childcare specialists to help offset these stressful events. This ensures peace of mind for our team members, and avoiding service disruptions with a fully-staffed team in place!

We also onboarded a supplemental healthcare program for employees to supplement our group health PPO plan. This supplemental healthcare program provides integrated, on-demand in-home and virtual care affordably priced and delivered by highly trained clinicians who take the time to provide amazing care.

We provide staff up to six weeks of paid parental leave over and above our employees’ accrued time off benefits. And it gets even better. This year marks a first for Pima Dermatology: “The Gift of Time “, whereby we are closing the office for a full week so our staff can have as much time as possible with their loved ones this season.

Consistently Monitoring Pricing for Skin Care Products + Treatments: We go the extra mile in trying our best to provide the most cost-effective pricing for our patients. We are sensitive to the global impacts on our economy, nationally and locally. It’s our duty to offer premium care that is as affordable as possible, and offer Cosmetic Specials throughout the year for added value. We also have financing options available to help you pay for your health, wellness, and personal care needs.

We have so much to celebrate as we close out the year and reflect on all that we have accomplished together as a team, and with you, our patients at the core in all that we do! Thank you for a fantastic 2023!
